Lighting Dep Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for a part-time, experienced Lighting Dep on the London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017. Responsibilities include running rig checks and making sure lighting is set to the high show standards, operating shows, working as part of an efficient and successful department and liaising with all other departments on the production and associated personnel. Candidates will require good knowledge of ETC Eos Consoles, knowledge of Disguise video control, good people management skills, fault finding/ trouble shooting skills and should be able to work at height. Experience in theatre on a large-scale production is desirable. There will be no contractually agreed minimum hours. Please note all applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
