Description

Balcony Bar Team Member

Are you great with customers, but looking for something a little bit different? We are seeking enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our casual team to work in our Balcony Bar over the warmer months here at the Leas Cliff Hall.

Leas Cliff Hall is set into the side of the cliff in Folkestone. It was built in 1927 as a concert hall and has had several additions made to it since then, including the main entrance, which houses the Coffee Shop and Box Office, and The Channel Suite situated under the Grand Hall. Leas Cliff Hall is a multi-functional venue, and houses its own bespoke function and conference suite, The Channel Suite which hosts a range of events, including weddings, conferences, meetings and parties.

The Balcony Bar is located in a secluded part of Folkestone's famous Leas, nestled in the side of Leas Cliff Hall.  The bar operates through the spring/summer from Thursday through to Sunday and on bank holidays.  If the sun is shining the Balcony Bar is open offering beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks savoured whilst enjoying the uninterrupted sea views from our peaceful terrace.

The Balcony Bar Team Members will ensure that the bar is opened and closed within the venues requirements.  They will deliver customer experience that is unrivalled.  Preparing drinks and serving them is an integral part of the role as is cleaning and prepping the Balcony Bar prior to opening to the public each day.

The post requires evening and weekend working and is offered on a casual basis for a fixed term of approximately 4 months.

Once the Balcony Bar closes after the summer months, there is the possibility of continuing this role in the venues bars & FOH operation (subject to availability)
