The role…

The Theatre Royal Drury Lane is a world class destination venue, and centrepiece to Covent Garden. Going beyond theatre, we have a multi-offer destination where the customer experience is always at centre stage.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Stock Controller with excellent organisational skills, to be responsible for supporting all aspects of our Theatre and Food & Beverage offering.

What you will be doing…

• Working closely with the F&B Manager, Guest Experience Manager and wider management team, you will:
• Ensure all bars are properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes.
• Establish and maintain procedures to ensure all stock is effectively rotated in line with expiry dates, actively moving stock around the venue where needed.
• Lead weekly stock takes and accurately account for all products and equipment within the venue, working closely with management and the commercial department to resolve any discrepancies.
• Place regular stock orders, be responsible for receiving and accurately checking deliveries into stock holding areas.
• You will spark creative ways to introduce and drive innovative and practical operational procedures.
• Constantly evaluate quality of service and product consistency and share constructive feedback.
• Assist in controlling costs proactively.
• Help drive promotions that complement and deliver a first class operation.
• Maintain open and constructive communication with third party service delivery partners.
• Assist management and wider team with the set-up of events.
• Ensure that all food and beverage facilities and equipment are kept in good condition and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume, immediately reporting all maintenance and repair needs.

What we need…

• Previous supervisory experience in a bar environment
• Excellent knowledge of customer service and products
• Display a lead by example attitude
• Self-motivated and a great team player with a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Confident using EPOS systems, knowledge of Zonal preferable
• Experience working in a busy fast paced environment
• Well organised and adaptable; able to plan workload, manage priorities, delegate tasks and respond to changing or ad hoc requirements
• Ability to use initiative in identifying problems and recommending appropriate solutions

Salary: £14.40 per hour + Tronc/Service Charge
