Do you love the thrill of working in a fast paced entertainment environment? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Technician on a fixed term contract (approx. 11 months). This is an excellent opportunity to join the team at Swansea Arena and to be directly involved in the delivery of world-class performances and events! Forming part of the Technical Management Team, The Senior Technician is a key role at the arena which hosts tours and concerts from global artists as well as large-scale conferences. They are responsible for ensuring that all information from visiting promoters, production teams and event organisers is collated, organised, and shared with the relevant venue operational departments ahead of each event, and then acting as the point of contact between the event representatives and the venue team throughout the course of the event. The post will assume overall responsibility for the Technical Events Team and subsequent delivery of allocated main arena events, utilising a good overall knowledge of technical aspects of arena scale shows, along with excellent communication skills to disseminate requirements and direct reports whilst aiding in contributing to budgetary targets. The Senior Technician will also work with and develop the Technical Assistant and Casual team ensuring the best practice is followed and systems and processes are continually updated.
